1983 Delorean DMC-12 Engine Swap and Restoration
In 2024 I managed to find a real 1983 Delorean DMC-12 car up in Woolongong at an unbelievably low price.
I spoke with the seller who said it had a blown head gasket. (which turned out to be a blown cylinder liner sleeve)
I saw a few images of the car sitting in a garage and it seemed in good physical shape and rust free as far as I could tell.
Dad and I decided to take the chance and go halves on the project, I made an offer sight unseen and the the seller accepted it.
A few weeks later we drove up to Woolongong and had it towed back to Melbourne.

Over the next 6 months Dad and I swapped in a new original engine I found left over from an EV swap project with only 18,000 miles on the odometer. We got road worthy, licence plates and registration.
Now I drive it like any other car and it (sometimes) runs like a dream!

2002 BMW E46 Soft Interior Touch Rubber Refresh
I wrote up a tutorial on how to refresh the often old and sticky interior trim pieces in early 2000's BMW's including the BMW E46, E38 and E39.
The tutorial can be seen in full over at the E46 Fanatics forums and currently had over 50,000 views.
Suitable on many other car interiors and for any other electronics and items that were originally coated with a soft touch rubber that has since turned sticky.

iPods!
I've slowly amassed a collection of iPods, mostly 4th Gen iPod Shuffles.
These are great little devices even today, the 4th Gen Shuffle comes with 2Gb of internal flash storage which can hold roughly 400 songs at 128kbps.
I use these regularly as playlists when I go for a run.

The 4th Gen shuffle was released in 2010 and retired in 2015. If you're able to find a later model that has been fairly regularly used/charged you're probably good to go! otherwise nowadays they tend to require a new battery.
It's not a particularly hard job though one slip with a soldering iron and you can melt the processor. (ask me how I know)
You can find these fairly easily for $20 on places like eBay and Facebook Marketplace, with another $15 or so for a new battery from eBay if needed.

My silver iPod Mini currently has 128gb of flash storage instead of the original 4GB 1" spinning HDD.

My Stainless Steer 3rd Gen iPod Shuffle is the most valuable and rarest, they're often listed at $800+ on eBay, it's also the most useless as the only way you can access the media controls is through a 2nd gen set of Apple earbuds which sound terrible. (not the current gen Earpods, they sound great but the media controls are wired differently for a reason that makes no sense.)
It also hilariously has "Bobo" engraved on the back from the factory. I got it with another iPod for $17.
