Service Description AU$100 per transmitter AU$150 per dual receiver AU$250 a pair (SMA antennas included) The 2nd generation of Sony UWP wireless are fantastic wireless devices but are prone to having their built-in antennas break causing weak signal and dropouts. A good way to improve on them is called the SMA mod. This requires custom fitting an SMA mount so that a standard SMA antenna can be added. The result is that they perform far better than stock even when in brand new condition. With this mod you get longer range and far stronger signal stability with close to zero drop-outs compared to stock, plus with the convenience of a removable and user replaceable flexible SMA antenna with the ability to connect the device to larger RF antenna systems. Mod wiring is internally soldered with a high gauge soft wire for flexibility. No original parts are cut or modified and is 100% reversible if desired. All original antennas and parts are returned with each order. I have been regularly using my personal SMA modified Sennheiser G3’s on film and TV sets since 2017 and have implemented new techniques over the years.
